The
Graduate Master Builder Certification that Tim Garvey
holds is one of the toughest certifications to achieve
as a home builder. In order to even be eligible to
receive this designation the builder must have previous
designations along with ten years of building industry
experience. The program is designed to help industry
veterans advanced and in-depth instruction geared for
building professionals. |

We are a
founding member of the Green Built North Texas
Initiative which is a voluntary partnership of local
home builders, industry supporters, and sponsors
committed to creating awareness and interest in the
construction of higher-performance, lower-impact
residential homes in North Central Texas. The program
establishes elements of housing construction that H.B.A
members have deemed essential in order to carry a “green
built” label. Homes certified into the program conform
to high standards of site management and waste
recycling, water efficiency, indoor air quality, energy
efficiency, materials, and homeowner education. |

Homebuyers across the country are increasingly
interested in green building. When looking to build or
buy a green home, energy efficiency is the place to
start. That's because the energy used in homes often
comes from the burning of fossil fuels at power plants,
which contributes to smog, acid rain, and risks of
global climate change. So, the less energy used, the
less air pollution generated. And the easy way to make
sure a new home is energy efficient is to look for the
blue Energy Star mark, the government-backed symbol for
energy efficiency.

become a member of this new program established by the
Texas Residential Construction Commission in Austin,
Texas for builders with a proven track record of
exemplary business practices and dedication to customer
service. For acceptance into the program a builder
must meet criteria showing excellent financial history,
experience, training, education, and building practices. |

Association of Greater Dallas and association that
represents the interests of the Home Building,
Multifamily Construction, and Remodeling Industry in
North Texas. |
